Mission
"To provide victims of crime free access and knowledge of the proceedings of justice, as well as support in order that they may be empowered to assert their rights."

The Ross County Victim/Witness Assistance Program provides assistance to felony crime victims in the Court of Common Pleas and Juvenile Division.

The staff is adequately trained in assisting crime victims throughout the prosecution of his/her case. A crime victim can feel confident that he/she is going to be treated with respect and dignity throughout the entire process of the court proceedings from indictment to the appeal. We understand that this is a new process for every crime victim and that it takes time to go through the system. We work with the individual to assist in whatever his/her needs might be.

Assistance is non-discrimatory, free, confidential, and appointments are not required but recommended. The program is located in the basement of the law enforcement complex, which is handicap accessible and readily available to the public.

To learn more about the many rights specified in the Ohio Revised Code 2930 please contact the program for more information or access the tabs above for more details.
